We turn London's coffee cup waste into panels for furniture and interiors.
We started Blast Studio with a questions: what would a Neo-vernacular material of the urban environment look like? We started developing materials using local waste using natural binders instead of synthetic glues, resins and other petroleum based materials. We wanted to create a healthy material that was future proof and could be reprocessed and reused easily.
Cupsan is the result of this research, it’s a material developed in London with the city in mind, made from coffee cups discarded there. It contains the rhythm of London within itself.
