cupsan shortlisted at the dezeen awards

We are so proud to say that Cupsan has been shortlisted as one of the Surface Design of Year at the Dezeen Awards!

For the past year, we’ve been completely focused on developing this board material made in our North West London studio from used coffee cups and paper collected across the city. From the beginning of Blast, our dream has been to imagine a city built from the waste it produces, and Cupsan is the fruit of this research. We see it as part of neo-vernacular approach to materials: using what’s locally available and abundant to build our interiors: our own waste. 

Being recognised by the dezeen jury feels like an incredible encouragement to keep pushing this vision forward.
